Emergencies are stressful.  When a customer contacts us for emergency electrical service, Douglas Electric strives to lower or remove as many points of stress as possible as we work to solve the problem.

If you call Douglas Electric with an electrical emergency, such as a loss of power or a burning smell, here is what you can expect:

We are open. No matter what time, day or night. We are on call for emergencies every single day of the year. No exceptions.

We are not an answering machine. Douglas Electric does not use an answering service. When you call our dedicated emergency line, a Douglas employee will take your call and work to have one of our Licensed and Certified Electricians at your location within two hours.

We are prepared. Our trucks arrive with the parts and equipment most often needed for emergency electrical service. Because of this, we can complete most emergency calls on the first visit. If you are without power, we can arrange for temporary power while repairs are being made.

We do what it takes, for as long as it takes. On the Friday before Labor Day in 2015, we received an emergency call late in the afternoon. A large cellular service provider reported that one of their towers was out of service. We had an electrician on site that afternoon and throughout the entire weekend, including Sunday and the holiday, until the job was done. In addition to bringing the tower back online, we directly assisted the provider with recovery of system data logs, so the tower was brought back into service as safely and expeditiously as possible.
