Restaurant Services

Challenge: Douglas Electric was called upon to perform several remodels for a large restaurant company with stores across the U.S.

Solution: Successfully completing the build out, the chain recommended Douglas Electric to their property management provider for the ongoing maintenance of more than three dozen of their stores. Today, we routinely provide service to these stores and we are expanding our offering to bring Infrared evaluation to the stores to help them avoid unexpected repairs in the future.

Cellular Mega Switch

Challenge: The prototype mega switch was approved, and a project that normally would take up to 18 months was compressed into eight.

Solution: Douglas Electric delivered, working safely, effectively and with great flexibility through a series of constant deadlines and project changes. We want you to think of Douglas Electric every time you have electrical needs. That’s why we deliver high-quality service, every time. At Douglas Electric, integrity matters, and you’re the priority.

Industrial Warehouse & Offices

Challenge: One of Douglas Electric's key customers is undergoing dramatic growth.  Outgrowing the square footage of their existing facility, they approached us requesting help with the design and build out of the electrical systems in the new facility.

Solution: Douglas Electric led the effort in the design of the power and lighting systems. Coordinating with several other subcontractors, we delivered! As a result, the customer has committed the on-going maintenance and improvements of their electrical systems to us.

Industrial Heat Trace

Challenge: The rapid expansion of the automotive industry challenged suppliers.  As a result of this expansion, Douglas was called to help one of our major industrial accounts upgrade their infrastructure to keep ahead of their customer’s demand for product.

Solution: Working closely with our account and a multitude of other contractors, Douglas Electric successfully installed more than 2 miles of heat trace, wire, cables, conduit, and cable tray. As a result, our customer brought their process back online on schedule, resulting in increased supply to their end user customer.

Mausoleum

Challenge: We were contacted to assist with the ground up construction of a 7,500 square foot Mausoleum.

Solution: The main building was cast-in-place concrete, which means working closely with the concrete subcontractor to make sure all of the conduits and boxes are in the correct locations first time. There were thousands of feet of PVC conduit inside the poured walls, ceilings, and floors. Finishing off this solemn facility, the light fixtures are designed and installed to insure the space reflects the respect it deserves.

Romulus Athletic Center

Challenge: Douglas Electric was the contractor of choice when officials in a southeast Michigan city finalized plans for a state-of-the-art, 88,000 square-foot recreation center in Romulus. About 12 miles of electrical conduit had be be run to feed features such as a pool and water slide, rock-climbing walls, kitchen and concession areas.

Solution: Five to ten Douglas Electric electricians were on site daily, wiring the facility section-by-section, working through design changes, coordinating with the other trades, and communicating with the customer.
